How to Get Here from Yacht Club Estates
The drive from Yacht Club Estates to our office is short. From most homes inside the neighborhood, head south on Yacht Club Drive and turn onto GA-92 South. Continue for several minutes until you see the 6199 GA-92 plaza on your right. Our office is in Suite 132. The full trip is typically under 10 minutes outside of rush hour.
Free parking is available directly in front of the office. The entrance is on the ground floor with no steps, which matters if you are coming in for a same-day emergency appointment, bringing a parent, or arriving with kids. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The last appointment of the day usually starts at 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM, which works for patients who would rather book the last meeting of the workday than break up a morning.
Cosmetic Services Yacht Club Estates Patients Use Most
Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain bonded to the front of your teeth. They correct shade, shape, and small alignment issues in one treatment plan. Most veneer cases run two to three appointments over two to three weeks: a consultation and design appointment, a preparation and temporary placement appointment, and a final placement appointment after the lab finishes the porcelain. We design the shade and shape with you, not for you.
Professional Whitening
Whitening lifts shade by removing built-up stain inside the tooth structure. We offer in-office whitening (faster, dentist-controlled, results in a single visit) and at-home tray whitening (slower, gentler, easier to maintain over time). Many lake-living patients choose a combination: an in-office session before lake season starts, then at-home trays for touch-ups every few months.
Invisalign Clear Aligners
Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to move teeth gradually. Aligners are removable for eating, brushing, and special events. Most aesthetic cases (mild crowding, post-orthodontic relapse, minor spacing) finish in six to nine months. More involved cases run longer and we will tell you that at the consultation, not after you have already started.
Cosmetic Bonding
Bonding uses tooth-colored composite to repair chips, close small gaps, and reshape worn edges. Most bonding work is done in a single appointment of 30 to 60 minutes. It is a useful first option if you are not ready to commit to veneers but want to see what your smile could look like with the chip or gap gone.
Full Smile Makeovers
A smile makeover is a coordinated treatment plan, not a single procedure. It usually combines whitening, veneers or bonding, and sometimes Invisalign or crown work to address everything at once. We map out the order, the timeline, and the cost at the consultation so there are no surprises mid-treatment.
Insurance, Financing, and the Friends and Family Membership Plan
Cosmetic dentistry is rarely covered by insurance. That is true at any practice, ours included, and we will be straight with you about it during the consultation. What we can do is keep the cost predictable, transparent, and broken into a payment structure that works for your household.
We are in-network with most major dental PPO plans. If you have insurance, we will verify your benefits before your appointment so you know what is covered and what is not. If you do not have insurance, our Friends and Family Membership Plan is a flat annual fee that covers preventive care and provides a discount on cosmetic and restorative work. CareCredit financing is also available for patients who would rather spread cosmetic case costs over monthly payments. We can run the numbers with you at the consultation.
About Yacht Club Estates: Lake Allatoona, the Atlanta Yacht Club, and Local Life
Yacht Club Estates is one of the few neighborhoods in metro Atlanta named after an actual yacht club. The Atlanta Yacht Club, established in 1950 at 7120 Yacht Club Drive, is the social heart of the area. Many of our patients sail, fish, ski, or simply spend Saturdays on the lake with family. The neighborhood sits in ZIP 30102, on the southern side of Lake Allatoona, with quick access to GA-92, I-75 to the west, and the recreational corridor that includes Red Top Mountain State Park and Galts Ferry Day Use Area.
What this means for cosmetic dentistry: Yacht Club Estates patients tend to live a photo-rich, sun-rich lifestyle. Lake light is unforgiving on stained or chipped teeth. Boat decks and dock photos catch every smile. The summer wedding circuit, the boat parade, the Fourth of July gathering, the back-to-school photos at the end of August: there is always a camera. We schedule whitening series, veneer cases, and Invisalign progress around lake season, not against it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time of year to start a cosmetic case before lake season?
Most patients we see begin in late winter or early spring. Veneers typically take two to three weeks from preparation to final placement. Whitening series take two to three weeks for in-office or four to six weeks for at-home trays. Invisalign timelines vary by case but most aesthetic refinements run six to nine months. Starting in February or March means a finished smile by Memorial Day weekend.
Does sun exposure or lake water affect cosmetic dental work?
UV light does not damage porcelain veneers or composite bonding. Lake water and pool chemicals are also fine for finished work. The bigger consideration for keeping cosmetic work looking right is what passes through your mouth daily: coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. We talk through maintenance habits during your consultation.
I have an upcoming family event at the yacht club. Can you do whitening in time?
In-office whitening can produce visible results in a single appointment. For best results we usually pair the in-office session with a one-week at-home maintenance phase. Tell us your event date and we will plan backward from there. The earlier we start, the more shade improvement we can deliver safely.
What are your office hours, and do you book Saturdays?
We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We do not currently book Saturday appointments. Many lake-area patients book a 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM slot as the last meeting of their workday so weekends stay free for the lake.
How long do porcelain veneers last for someone with my lifestyle?
Properly placed porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years according to the American Dental Association, sometimes longer. Lake life does not shorten that. The factors that matter are the same for any patient: do not bite hard objects with your front teeth, address grinding or clenching with a night guard if needed, and keep up with routine maintenance visits. We talk through long-term care at the placement appointment.
Book Your Yacht Club Estates Cosmetic Consultation
Cosmetic dentistry works best when it starts with a real conversation, not a price quote over the phone. At your consultation, Dr. Parnes will look at your teeth, listen to what bothers you about your smile, and walk through what is realistic, what it would cost, and how long it would take. There is no commitment to treatment from a consultation. The goal is to give you the information you need to decide.
Call (770) 928-4434 to book a Yacht Club Estates cosmetic consultation, or use the online scheduler. We are minutes from the Atlanta Yacht Club, just down GA-92.
