Delta Dental plans typically split coverage into three tiers: preventive, basic, and major. Coverage percentages vary by plan, but the structure is consistent:
- Preventive (cleanings, exams, X-rays). Most Delta Dental PPO plans cover preventive at or near 100 percent, often with no deductible. We recommend a six-month schedule.
- Basic (fillings, simple extractions, root canals). Typically covered at a higher percentage on Delta plans. Tooth-colored fillings are standard in our office.
- Major (crowns, bridges, implants, dentures). Coverage varies more on these. We provide a written estimate before treatment so you know your share.
- Cosmetic (whitening, veneers, Invisalign). Most Delta plans do not cover cosmetic work, but some include orthodontic riders that apply to Invisalign. We check this for you when we verify benefits.

I have Delta Dental but I'm not sure which plan. Can you check?
Yes. Call (770) 928-4434 with your member ID. We verify your specific plan with Delta Dental directly and tell you what is covered, your remaining annual maximum, and any deductible status before your appointment.
What is the difference between Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier?
Delta Dental PPO is Delta's lower-cost network with negotiated fees. Delta Dental Premier is the older, broader network. Both pay benefits at our office, but PPO members usually have lower out-of-pocket costs because of contracted PPO fees. We are in-network for [VERIFY: PPO, Premier, or both].
Will my Delta Dental plan cover Invisalign?
Maybe. Some Delta plans include an orthodontic benefit that applies to Invisalign for adults or children, often with a lifetime maximum. Others exclude orthodontics entirely. We verify this for you before treatment so you know what is covered.
My annual maximum reset in January. Should I schedule now?
If you are due for a cleaning or have any planned treatment, yes. Annual maximums reset on a calendar year for most Delta Dental plans, and unused benefits do not roll over. If you have unfinished treatment from last year, scheduling early in the new year can stretch your benefits.
