Who Are We?

A Family Dental Practice for Kennesaw and Northern Cobb County

If you live in Kennesaw, you have plenty of dentists to pick from. Our office at 6199 GA-92 in Acworth is about 15 minutes away, and the patients who choose us over a closer option usually do so for the same handful of reasons: they want a single-dentist practice instead of a rotating roster, they like that the office is calm and the team has been together for years, or someone they trust sent them.

Dr. Alan N. Parnes, DDS, has been treating Kennesaw and Acworth families for years. We are a small practice, we keep the schedule realistic so wait times are short, and we explain treatment plans plainly so you know what is happening before anything starts.

Why Choose Us?

How We Are Different from a Bigger Group Practice

Three honest differences:

One. You see the same dentist every visit. In group practices, the dentist who treats you for an emergency may not be the same dentist who did your last filling, who may not be the same dentist at your six-month cleaning. We are a single-dentist practice. Dr. Parnes knows your history.

Two. We are upfront about cost. We will tell you what your insurance covers before we start treatment, and we will tell you the cash price if you do not have insurance. No surprise bills.

Three. We are in-network with most major PPO insurance plans, which is more useful than 'we accept your insurance' on its own. In-network means contracted rates and predictable costs.

Dental Services for Kennesaw Patients

Family and Preventive Dentistry

Cleanings, exams, X-rays, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings, and basic fillings. The basics of keeping a healthy mouth healthy. We see kids from their first tooth and adults at every age.

Emergency Dentistry

Same-day appointments for toothaches, cracked teeth, lost crowns, and other emergencies. Call as early in the day as you can. The team will help you triage on the phone.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Professional teeth whitening, bonding for chips and gaps, and porcelain veneers for fuller smile changes. We will tell you which option fits what you actually want before you commit to anything.

Dental Implants and Restorative Work

Single implants for one missing tooth, multi-tooth implants, All-on-4 implant-supported dentures for a full arch, plus crowns, bridges, and traditional dentures. Each restoration is custom-made to fit your bite and color-match your natural teeth.

Sedation Dentistry

Nitrous oxide for patients who want to relax during treatment. It wears off quickly so most patients drive themselves home.

About Kennesaw, GA

Kennesaw is a city in northern Cobb County, with a population around 35,000 and a much larger ring of surrounding communities that anchor to it. The historic downtown along Main Street and Cherokee Street is the original heart of the city, with the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History (home of The General locomotive) as a recognizable landmark. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is just to the south, a hub for hiking, history, and recreation.

Kennesaw is also home to Kennesaw State University, which adds about 45,000 students to the area's economic and cultural footprint. The combination of a strong residential community, a historic downtown, the university, and easy access to I-75 and I-575 makes Kennesaw one of the busier and more diverse small cities in north metro Atlanta.

Where Are We?

Getting to Our Office From Kennesaw

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is your office from Kennesaw?

About 15 minutes from most of Kennesaw, depending on the starting point and traffic.

Are you the same practice as the KSU page on this site?

Yes. Same dentist, same office, same address. We have a separate page for the KSU community because students and faculty often have different questions (wisdom teeth, payment without insurance, scheduling around classes). The Kennesaw page focuses on the broader community.

Do you accept my insurance?

Most major PPO plans are in-network with us. Call with your card and we will tell you what your plan covers.

Do you see same-day emergency patients?

Yes, in most cases. Call as early in the day as possible. If you are in pain, the team will work you in.

I have not been to a dentist in years. What should I do?

Just call. Plenty of patients come in after a long break. The first visit is an honest exam and a conversation about what to address first. We are not going to lecture you.
